Life & Business with Elizabeth Brooks of Virtually Brooks LLC

I recently had the pleasure of being featured in an interview with Voyage Phoenix, where I shared insights about my journey, my business, and my passion for creating flexible job opportunities for women through Virtually Brooks LLC.

From Corporate Logistics to Entrepreneurship

I never anticipated becoming a business owner, but I am deeply thankful for the journey that led me here. My background in operations for asset management and business development set the stage for my future endeavors. In 2018, I was introduced to virtual assistance by a woman who was starting in the field. She taught me the fundamentals of working remotely with clients, and I quickly realized the potential of this industry.

After a few months, I decided to pursue my own path within the Virtual Assistant realm. Leveraging my extensive networking experience and the relationships I had built with past business owners, I felt confident in offering my skills and talents as a Virtual Assistant to my network. Through word of mouth, my client base grew rapidly.

Building Virtually Brooks

By 2020, the demand for Virtual Assistants surged, prompting me to expand from a solo entrepreneur to an agency. Today, we have a team of 50 U.S.-based Virtual Assistants providing services to businesses of all sizes. We specialize in supporting attorneys, CPAs, bookkeepers, insurance agents, and wealth management professionals.

Reflecting on our journey, it has been relatively smooth but not without challenges. In 2020, I hired my first assistant, who has since become our Business Development Manager. She plays a crucial role in both operations and client relations, as well as engaging with prospective clients. We established a leadership team of supervisors to help manage our growing business.

While we’ve encountered minor growing pains, they have been essential learning experiences. We’ve improved our interview and hiring processes, refined our target market, and invested in a website that effectively reaches our audience. Additionally, we’ve navigated economic changes, such as minimum wage increases and adjusting our rates to stay competitive. By following my instincts and intuition, we’ve been able to refine and adjust our strategies to overcome these natural challenges.

The Virtually Brooks Philosophy

At Virtually Brooks, we believe in the art of delegation. Our mission is to empower business owners by taking care of their administrative tasks, thereby liberating their time and energy to focus on revenue-generating activities. Our time-tracking systems ensure maximum value for our clients and maintain accountability, a crucial element in our business model.

As the Founder and Owner of Virtually Brooks, I lead an agency that stands out for its commitment to delivering exceptional virtual assistance to business owners. Our specialization in serving attorneys, CPAs, bookkeepers, and wealth management professionals is a testament to our deep understanding of their unique needs. With a rich background of over 18 years in Operations Logistics Management and Executive Administration, I’ve channeled my expertise into creating a business uniquely positioned to cater to our clients’ specific requirements.

Beyond my professional accomplishments, I am driven by values of initiative, high standards, and unwavering integrity. I believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, a principle I extend to my team at Virtually Brooks. This empowers our staff to deliver exceptional service to our clients. By concentrating on niche industries and employing proven strategies, we enhance your systems and propel your business to its highest potential. Our services encompass managing administrative tasks, optimizing productivity, and integrating cutting-edge tech solutions designed to make a tangible difference in your business’s success.

Defining Success

For me, success is the ability to adapt, grow, and refine my business in response to both opportunities and challenges. It means leveraging my skills, building strong relationships, and creating a supportive team that works together towards common goals. Success also involves maintaining a clear vision, trusting my instincts, and continuously improving processes to serve our clients better and stay competitive in the market.

In essence, I define success as the culmination of strategic growth, effective leadership, and the resilience to navigate and overcome obstacles while staying true to my core values and objectives.
